Format
The climbers compete in teams of three. The team members are matched up against equal opponents from the other teams in a duel. In the duel, the goal is to climb further than the opponent to score points to the team. The climbers only have one try per boulder so they will have to make it count!

How to score points
4 points - Climb to the top, while your opponent doesn’t.
3 points - Both you and your opponent climb to the top.
2 points - Climb further than your opponent, but not reaching the top.
1 points - Reaching the same hold as your opponent.

Group stage
The teams are divided into two groups where they challenge the other teams. The team with the most points after the group stage will have an advantage in the play-offs.

Play-offs
After the group stage, the team with the most points from their group will battle the lowest scoring team from the other group. The 2nd highest team in group “A” will go against the 3rd team in group “B” and so on. In the play-offs, the winning team advance to the next round, the loosing team is knocked out of the competition.
